The NORWEGIAN JOURNAL OF CLINICAL NURSING is a Norwegian, peer-reviewed, scientific level 1 journal that aims to highlight and communicate knowledge that is relevant to all aspects of nursing practice.
The journal’s purpose is to publish knowledge that can help strengthen the evidence base for and quality of nursing practice, nurse education and the development of nursing science methodology. The Norwegian Journal of Clinical Nursing publishes academic articles that are consistent with this objective.
The Norwegian Journal of Clinical Nursing is intended for practising healthcare personnel, researchers and students at all levels, to enable the published knowledge to be read and used in disciplinary development as well as in theoretical and empirical research. Norwegian Journal of Clinical Nursing is indexed in CINAHL.

Critically ill medical patients in the emergency department before and during the pandemic – an observational study
The pandemic did not impact on the treatment provision. There were more female patients, and more patients had a psychiatric history. The patient group was relatively young both before and during the pandemic.
