I løpet av ti år har bruken av smertestillende legemidler på resept økt med om lag 33 prosent per innbygger i Norge. Bruken av opioider har gått ned. I alle aldersgrupper er det kvinnene som har det høyeste forbruket.
– Kunnskapen vi har så langt er basert på en pressemelding, sier Steinar Madsen, medisinsk fagdirektør i Legemiddelverket.
Over 64 000 nordmenn fikk i fjor dekket diabetesmedisinen Ozempic av Helsedirektoratet. Over 15 000 av dem kan ha fått medisinen på blå resept på feil grunnlag.
En sykepleierstudent ga medisin som skulle vært gitt i munnen, rett i blodet.
Studien viser at det er store avvik i håndtering av legemidler i norske sykehjem og at det er stort behov for å forbedre praksis.
Siden i mai har Sykehuset Østfold lagt uønskede hendelser som er rapportert til Helsetilsynet ut på nettet. Legemiddelhåndteringen er der sykepleiere feiler mest.
Beslutningsforum innførte i fjor 100 nye metoder. Det er rekord. 38 ble ikke innført.
To av tre legemiddelfeil skjer under administrering. Der står sykepleiere ofte alene.
