I Klepp kommune får sykepleierstudenter som jobber helger og sommeruker, et rekrutteringsstipend på 22 000 kroner per år. Da tredjeårsstudenten ikke fikk summen for sitt siste år i ordningen, ble hun forbanna.

De neste årene vil mange spesialsykepleiere i operasjon-, intensiv-, anestesi- og barnesykepleie (ABIO), gå av med pensjon, og det utdannes ikke nok nye til å kompensere for frafallet.
